|The big runners.|
This morning started with a 5K fun run to raise money for SIDS awareness...Logan's Run. A lot of people showed their faces bright and early to help support a great cause. Steve and I completed the 3.2 miles in 30 minutes. Run well done. We noticed the families who brought young children in jogging strollers all had the same idea in mind...BOB jogging strollers. Talk about a well built stroller! We later went on line to look at getting one for Lucas. At over $450, I think the one we have will suffice.
After our morning trot, we headed to Grandma Collie's to grab Lucas, then headed home. Yep, you guessed it...more yard work. Lawn mowing, weed pulling, power washing, and flower maintenance were in our afternoon package. Dinner came rolling around and we were ready for it! Baked chicken with basil and zucchini from our garden. I made pesto with the basil and it was out of this world!!
When dinner was completed, we headed over to Babies R Us to get the much needed baby gate. Saved $10 with a coupon I had...score!! Then we traveled out to my parent's house to load the truck up with large rocks. We're going to use them as decorative rocks in our yard. My dad on his tractor, Steve helping load them into the back. They made a great team.
Time for bed, that run did me in for the day. But as far as Steve and bedtime, not till the gate's up.
